Pizza days are back again this year and we will once again be offering dairy free and gluten free options. Once a month, on a Thursday, we will have Pizza Hot Lunch.
1. We will continue using Munchalunch for the 2026/2027 school year. Those parents who already have an account do not need to sign up with a new one, they simply have to update their child's information once their classes are set. Please make sure you know your child's 2026/2027 teacher before you register as pizzas will be delivered to their classes. Go to https://munchalunch.com/schools/LauraSecord/, to register. (click here for more detailed instructions). Unlike other years, we will no longer have monthly ordering. In order to save on some of the fees that Munchalunch charge, ordering will be open at the beginning of the year and ordering for the first term will stay open for a week before the first hot lunch date. As each term approaches, that term's ordering will close a week prior to that term's first hot lunch date and so on. We recommend ordering for the entire year in September. This really cuts down on confusion of if you remembered to order or not and cuts down on accidentally double ordering.
2. The cost will continue to be $3.50/slice and $6.25/2 slices. Gluten free and dairy free can only be ordered as an entire small pizza and will be $15 for gluten free and $11 for dairy free.
We will again this year be offering sponsorship to those who may have financial hardships. As this is a fundraiser, we ask other parents if they would be willing to sponsor another child in the school. You can sponsor for either 1 slice for the year for $35 or 2 slices for the year for $62.50. Everything is totally anonymous and only the hot lunch coordinators know who is being sponsored and who sponsors. If you would like to be a sponsor, choose which amount you'd like to give and e-transfer the amount to secordhotlunch@gmail.com. In the notes section please write "sponsor". Volunteers: All Pizza will be distributed by parents! Please let us know if you can volunteer by signing up (new sign up sheet will be available in September), or email secordhotlunch@gmail.com, Attn: Hot Lunch Coordinator.
Absences: Refunds will not be given for absent children on lunch dates as this is a fundraiser; however, you can arrange for a sibling or another child to receive your order if you give prior notice (at least a day please, by email or leave a message with the office the morning of hot lunch by 9:30am).
